The Long Bar

The Long Bar is a traditional pub serving real ales and fantastic pub food. With beamed ceilings and an open fire, it’s a great place to enjoy a drink, a snack or a full meal. You can sit at the bar or at one of many tables either in the bar area or in the upper gallery.

When it comes to drinks, we pride ourselves on being able to satisfy most tastes with our extensive range of soft drinks, beers, wines and spirits. Our most popular real ales are brewed locally in Cornwall and we serve many of other popular beers, lagers and ciders. Our wine cellar holds more than 60 different wines and we are constantly looking for more to add to keep the range as varied and interesting as possible.

All bar meals are freshly prepared and cooked in our kitchen by the Head Chef and his team. Our restaurant, on the first floor of the Hotel, is a member of the Sustainable Restaurant Association and we follow the same principles in our bar with most of our food sourced locally and prepared on the premises. Our preference is to use fresh and seasonal Cornish produce wherever we can.

Because our food is freshly prepared, we are happy to cater for those who require a special diet such as vegetarian or gluten free. This can be done on the day but, if you are able to let us know in advance, then our chef may be able to offer a wider choice especially for you.
