Boscastle’s Fine Dining Restaurant
Owner Jon Scott’s vision has been to create a North Cornwall restaurant that combines the traditions of an historic Georgian dining room with the brighter, more informal approach of modern fine dining.
The Waterloo Restaurant is a 2 AA Rosette restaurant serving modern European cuisine with a touch of classic French cooking – just think superb food but without the fuss. Boscastle craftsmen have recently re-instated many of the original Georgian features in the restaurant yet have created a light and relaxed environment that compliments the superb quality of the food.
Food is our passion and we are committed to running our Boscastle restaurant in a sustainable and responsible way. The kitchen team, led by Head Chef Kit Davis, uses fresh local produce prepared and served in a simple and enjoyable way. Not only do we support local farmers and fishermen but we also grow many of our herbs and vegetables in the hotel’s kitchen garden.
As all our food is freshly prepared, we will happily cater for a variety of dietary requirements; from vegetarian to gluten free. Let us have a little notice and we can design a personal menu for you and your fellow diners. With two separate but connecting rooms, our restaurant is also perfect for private dining.
Before you have your pre-dinner drink at the bar or after your coffee on the comfy sofas, complete your evening by taking a look at some of the items of historical interest. An original invitation to dinner from the Duke Of Wellington, campaign maps, pictures and paintings from the Battle of Waterloo are all on display.
In the charming fishing harbour of Boscastle and surrounded by the beautiful North Cornwall coast, the Waterloo Restaurant is a superb destination for a perfect evening.
The Waterloo Restaurant is open Tuesday to Saturday evenings from 6.30 pm. A reservation is recommended.
