Fine Dining in Boscastle

Owner Jon Scott’s vision has been to create a North Cornwall dining experience that combines the traditions of an historic hotel with the brighter, more informal approach of modern dining. Whether you choose a simple bar dish or from our fine dining menu, you will enjoy a superb meal prepared to the same high standard.

Our dining experience reflects a 2 AA Rosette restaurant serving modern European cuisine with a touch of classic French cooking – just think superb food but without the fuss. You can enjoy the same delicious menu whether you choose to eat by the fire in the bar or prefer table service upstairs in the Gallery or Turret Room.

Food is our passion and we are committed to running our bar and restaurant in a sustainable and responsible way.  The kitchen team, led by Head Chef Kit Davis, uses fresh local produce prepared and served in a simple and enjoyable way.  Not only do we support local farmers and fishermen but we also grow herbs and vegetables in the hotel’s kitchen garden.

As all our food is freshly prepared, we will happily cater for a variety of dietary requirements; from vegetarian to gluten free. Let us have a little notice and we can design a personal menu for you and your fellow diners.

In the charming fishing harbour of Boscastle and surrounded by the beautiful North Cornwall coast, The Long Bar and Restaurant is a superb destination for a perfect evening. A reservation is strongly recommended.
